Who We Are >

Meet Our President and Chief Rabbit

"A writer at heart, a photographer by nature, and a media specialist by degree, I've always been a communicator of messages and ideas.

"I started Dancing Rabbits because, frankly, I'm a bit of a maverick. Rules are cool until they start strangling creativity, innovative-thinking, enthusiasm and risk-taking. Companies have to wake up and realize that being honest, authentic and truly interested in their customers will help them reach their sales goals and build brand trust and loyalty.

"Consumers want to be appreciated, to buy quality products and reputable services that will take care of a problem, fill a need, make them happy, etc. After all, isn't that what we want for ourselves as consumers?"

After moving to the Seattle area, she continued working with direct mail in a direct marketing agency, later expanded into advertising and media buying as marketing director for several small casinos in the Seattle area, and donor/sponsorship acquistition with a local nonprofit.

On a Personal Note:

She's also an accomplished travel, landscape and high key photographer who garnered numerous awards and speaks fluent "photo."

In her "off time", Bonnie enjoys listening to smooth jazz, classical, New Age, and Celtic rock bagpipe music; sipping a Starbucks mocha; keeping up with current affairs; reading mysteries and history; being a gym rat; traveling to parts unknown and places inbetween every chance she gets; attending Highland Games, renaissance fairs and arts festivals; hanging out with friends; and sharing sushi with her adorable husband.

And, yes, all the quotes you see atop each page on this Web site are hers.

She did say she's a bit of a maverick, uh? Hmm, maybe she's more like a wild hare?

So What's With The Name, Dancing Rabbits?

Photo of the rabbits who inspired the company name: Dancing RabbitsBonnie recalls: "One day back in 2003 while working on restructuring my freelance business, I want a new name. Something fun. A bit creative. Something people would definitely remember. Offhandedly, I asked my little black bunny, Idjit, what he thought.

"Yeah, right. As if rabbits can talk.

"Well, I'll never forget this. He gave me this little sigh, shrugging his shoulders as if exasperated. Then <BANG!> he shot straight up in the air, kicking his little back feet out, did a 360 spin, landed on the rug, then spun and jumped and kicked his back feet out repeatedly, skittering all over the living room...he was was dancin' up a storm and then Phoebe, his mate, joined in.

"That's when the light bulb in my head went on!"

"When I shouted, 'That's it, Dancing Rabbits!', he stopped and looked at me, as if to say 'Of course, you silly human, it's all about me. Just as it should be for your clients. It's all about them.'"
